California earthquakes...the least of our worries.

My sister and her husband came home this morning after being at the hospital, to find this lovely large oak tree on their doorstep. Thank the Lord that with all of the different branches, not one window was broken. Their three daughters were home at the time and were a bit shaken up.

The weather here has been really awful. The winds were so bad, they kept Paul and up all night last night. At one point when he rolled over and I knew he was awake I groggily sang, "The weather started getting rough,The tiny ship was tossed, If not for the courage of the fearless crew,The minnow would be lost, the minnow would be lost..."

He never replied.

This is my sister attempting to lift the tree off of her house. The wind was so strong it was driving the rain sideways. She was screaming and laughing as she was getting soaked. We were laughing so hard.

We are a bit off kilter like that.

Yikes!
(I can't believe your hubby couldn't appreciate your cute little 'Gilligan' reference.) :)
Glad everyone was okay.
Btw, what's up with the evergreen on its side, too? Was that from the storm, too? or just an thrown-out Christmas tree? Looks almost transposed into the picture! :)

Bad weather can be scarey! Glad everyone is okay, although your sisters house is battered. The singing in the night sounds like something I would do. I don't think Bob would respond either!

Nothing like a little encouragement from Gilligan. Glad no one was hurt when the tree fell
