I just LOVE Saturday's don't you?!?

I absolutely LOVE Saturday mornings. When I was a little girl, my dad would gather up my two little sisters and I, and take us out for donuts. While mom got to sleep in, we scurried out of the house as quiet as little children can - to our awaiting sugary delicacies!

Thirty years later, I still wake up early on Saturday mornings. No, I don't eat donuts too often anymore, but I do my share of garage sales.

This morning I woke up with this song on my heart. My husband got to hear me singing this in the shower, my children heard me singing this through the house.

And now YOU get to hear it too (make sure to pause my music down below before hitting play).

Happy Saturday Friends!

Head on over to Signs, Miracles, and Wonders...for more great Saturday songs!

Life's about choices...THEN SINGS MY SOUL SATURDAY

"Life's about choices." One our favorite sayings, we share with our children. Just like the foxes that steal the grapes, it is the small compromises that can lead us down the path towards heartbreaking choices. Casting Crowns song, Slow Fade, explains it perfectly.

LET IT RAIN! Then Sings My Soul Saturday

In honor of the first rainfall today, in our small, Northern California town, I thought that this song by Michael W. Smith (one of my favorites) was most fitting!

Sings My Soul Saturday - FALL

Gratitude, by singer Nichole Nordeman is the one song that speaks the essance of the Fall season to my soul. This is the ultimate of seasons for me. And since Fall officially begins in approximately forty eight hours, I am sharing my ultimate faovire Fall song, Gratitude.

While putting out my Fall decorations yesterday, I had this playing, quite loudly, in my house.

Just beautiful.

Then Sings My Soul Saturday - Grandma Style!

My grandma is spending the weekend with us! We picked her up from the train station yesterday. In honor of her visit, I thought I would include a song that reminded me of her.

Spanish Eyes, was one that I heard a lot while growing up. ...and uh, no, my grandma is not Spanish. Actually she's Yugoslavian, well, since there is no Yugoslavia, I guess I should say, she's Croatian. My grandpa wasn't Spanish either. He was 100% Italian. My grandpa played the saxophone for a band called The Treble Makers. You could always find my grandma with him every weekend, dancing with many of her friends while my grandpa played on stage.

At 87 years old, she is still trying to dance her way through life. My Aunt Cathy recently sent me a video of her doing the robot. TOO FUNNY!

So now you know, Spanish Eyes, speaks to my heart, for no Spanish reason at all...the song New York New York gets our whole family up and dancing too, and I have never set my foot on New York soil in my life!

We are an odd bunch, aren't we?!?

Then Sings My Soul Saturday

While at the conference last weekend, Travis Coltrell sang this song and it pierced my heart. If you haven't already heard it, listen closely to the words. It really made me think.

2000 years ago, would I have fallen down and worshipped? Would I have left all that I treasured behind?

What about now?

Then Sings My Soul Saturday - Beth Moore Style

715 different locations, 70,000 women are gathered this weekend to hear the simulcast teaching from Beth Moore. What a blessing it has been to go through the book of Luke chapter 8. We are being taught on the seeds that fall on the different soils. Oh, goodness what a blessing it has been. Tears streamed my cheeks when Travis Coltrell led us in this song below.

Now on a thirty minute break, across the nation women were led in the sinners prayer. This was the song that led them to the throne for the first time. What a beautiful blessing.

Then Sings My Soul Saturday - Disney Style

*****HIT PLAY BELOW BEFORE READING POST***********

In honor of our Disneyland vacation (quite the oxymoron), for your listening enjoyment I've included the music that I heard every single waking moment while visiting the happiest place on earth. This music permeated my audio senses while waiting in lines, while walking from Tomorrowland to Frontierland, while eating my delicious cobb salad on Main Street and my Churro in New Orleans Square. No doubt you will love hearing these timeless Disney clasics once again.

BUT,if you'd like to have an authentic Disneyland experience, the very same experience that I had this week, you must play this video below fifteen hours a day for three days straight.

Then we'll talk.

Then Sings My Soul Saturday

My teenage daughter introduced me to the Britt Nicole song, "I want to set the world on fire" a couple of months ago. When I first heard it, the bubble gum pop sound turned me off just a little.

But after listening to it a couple of times, I realized that the words of this song were truly the words of my heart.
