Susan Boyle dreamed a dream. What about you?

Susan Boyle. You know the name. You know the face. And you definitely know the voice. Susan has gone on to sell more than 701,000 copies of her first ever CD, since being released November 23rd, blowing the tops off of sales records held by Eminem and U2.

Susan dreamed a dream.

Born and raised in one of the poorest parts of Scotland, her voice was perfected in her church choir and at local pubs. At the age of 47, single, unemployed, with her parents now deceased, she pursued her dream.

If you are one of the millions who have watched her YouTube performance, you've seen this un-Hollywood-type step out onto the stage, and while being ridiculed and mocked...fulfill her dream.

What is your dream? What fire once raged in your heart, passionately desiring to be fulfilled?

Why aren't you pursuing it now?

Friends, God LOVES to make the impossible possible. He desires to do the extraordinary with the ordinary. As long as you are alive, as long as there is a breath in your body, keep your dream alive. Never let age, appearance, or ability steal your dream.

BELIEVE.

Susan Boyle would tell you she is ordinary. God would tell you she's extraordinary.

What about you?

What happened to the dream you dreamed?

Blessed is she who believed what the Lord said to her will be accomplished.
Luke 1:45

P31 Woman Magazine- A Promise Given - A Promise Fulfilled

Last Monday I hurried home. No, not to clean my kitchen, and no, not to get dinner ready. I couldn't wait to check my mailbox to see if my one precious copy of P31 Woman magazine had arrived for February.

My magazine article is out this month, See Jane Run. For those of you who get it, just a hint, don't let my grandma know you threw it away. She doesn't have a copy. You could probably make your mortgage payment selling her a copy or two.

Even though the Lord had given me promises of publishing my work, and even after editors had confirmed the Lord's promises by publication, I still struggle with unbelief. Seeing the tangible promise of God to me, in the form of a magazine, brought unexplainable joy to my heart. Once again confirming that He has begun a good work in me (in you too!) and He is going to complete it.

Have you ever felt God tell you something? Has He whispered a precious promise in your ear and confirmed it to your heart - through His word?
Sisters, if you have been given a promise from God, hold on to it with every bit of strength you have.

If you begin to lose sight of what He has told you, it is not because He is unfaithful and it is not because He has forgotten you. Maybe, just maybe, you are trying to see His promise to you fulfilled in your time, with human eyes. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen.

Get in His word and stay in His word until He speaks. Then, pray His promise back to the very one who has promised you eternity. We have such an awesome, loving, forgiving God as our father. He loves you so very much. He wants to pour out His promises in your life. Sweet sisters, lets begin taking God at His word.

"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." Phil. 1:6

Sings My Soul Saturday

While at our couples retreat last weekend, I listened to this song on my MP3 player. The words truly pierced my heart.

Speaking words I never thought I'd say...

There can be miracles, when you believe.

Though hope is frail, its hard to kill.

Who knows what miracles you can achieve.

When you believe, somehow you will.

You will when you believe.

Friends, this song reminded me that the only part we have to play with God is to believe in Him, to have faith. He has plans for our lives that He made before we ever were skilled enough to perform them.

What is it that you have been called to do for Him? When God calls, He enables. Don't wait for the power to step out of your comfort zone. Obedience is the first step.

Take that step of faith today.

Believe!

"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10
