Cinderella goes to the ball.

Our oldest daughter is beside herself with excitement. In a few short hours, our precious "Cinderella" is going to the ball, ahem, Prom. Her Senior Prom is tonight and she has had a smiled plastered across her face since Wednesday.

I was experiencing the same joy over twenty years ago. Back in the days of big hair and shoulder pads. I may have to find a picture. But for now, I just have to ask...

What are your Senior Prom memories?

My dear, in my day, Christians did not go to dances! When my kids were teen-agers, I let them go and felt very "worldly". But they went, had gobs of fun, and I wasn't struck dead. Now my grandchildren go to dances in the fifth grade!! Oh my! How times do change.

I know your little Princess had a wonderful time. Half the fun is getting the dress, and getting ready for the gala occasion! I hope you will post pictures.

I broke up with the guy I was dating, and chose to go to the movies with my girlfriend that night. We saw "The Godfather" of all things! Haha.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the prom experience vicariously through my kids!

Oh it is that time of the year. May is certainly the month for proms. I remember when I went to my highschool prom. I went with my highschool sweetheart many years ago who is the man I am married to this day. I also got to have fun living through the experiences with both my son and daughter going to the prom when they were in highschool. They looked so grown up and beautiful in their extravagant looking attire. Enjoy your time with your daughter. I know she will be beautiful!

Blessings,
Alleluiabelle

I went to a private Christian (AG) school, so of course there was NO dancing allowed...if you even touched a guy/girl you might get pregnant, and if you danced you would FOR SURE get pregnant. Didn't you know that? :)
We had something called JSB - Junior/Senior Banquet. Oh my. It was fun though. I loved my dress!

I think you should find a picture and then post it next Friday on Alicia's meme (you can find a link to it on my post from yesterday).

Are you going to post a picture of your lovely daughter?

I remember getting lost on the way to prom. I was a sophmore and my date was a junior and the captain of the football team. I was so nervous! Finally, he got us there...a little late but we got there. He also stepped on my dress and tore it. I spilled my pop and sent it flying across the table....

I am going to follow you on twitter. I thought I was but I wasn't.

Well what a surprise! Bless your heart for blessing me by choosing me as one of your blogs of the month! Truly honored. Thanks so much!

Senior prom...hmmm....my hair was all pulled back in an upsweep. I wore a yellow and white gown and carried a bouquet of white and yellow daisies and white and yellow roses. We only stayed at the prom for a little while, then we went to a lock in at our church, then off to IHOP for breakfast, then home by 8 a.m.

I'm surprised my mind can recollect back to 1970!

Didn't go to any dances Senior year (illness & not interested in those interested in taking me), but went to Homecoming and Prom junior year.

Reminds me - I did just put up an 80's pic of me on my Friday post. Too funny. I'll have to look around for dance pics and relive the fashions - LOL!

I'm sure she'll have a great time!

I have no prom memories. I never went to a one. I know, sad. On another note, come over to the blog when you can. You're a winner, but then again, I already knew that.
