Nashville, I Think I LOVE You

Our home this week has been called by a different name...Nashville. The state of Tennessee has been home to us for the past six days. Two of our four children went with my husband and I to spy out the land.

The Lord scattered a few bread crumbs out this way and we've done our best to follow His lead. Being born and bred Californians, we thought we knew a thing or two about the south. We discovered we underestimated Tennessee in a few areas:

*The people are even nicer than we'd been told.

*There is a church on EVERY corner. Seriously. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a church. How do these people ever pick which church to attend?

*People are nicer out here.

*Californians make the argument that there isn't much diversity out this way. They seem to think they are king of the hill in the "diversity-department". WRONG. This area is more diverse than where I live in Northern California.

*Have I mentioned the people are nicer here?

LOVE this week in our home looks like Nashville, Tennessee.

Glad you are enjoying Nashville. Next time you should make your way a little north of Nashville and stop in Michigan!

Glad you loved Nashville... might I suggest Alabama... we're deeper South and therefore we are even nicer! Okay, maybe not, but I would LOVE to have you near me....

I heart Nashville, too...we live about 3 and half hours away from there...when we first married...for some reason...Nashville became "our" little getaway spot...we don't visit as often as we once did...but I concur with your observations about the town and the people...

Love looks like man bathing his wife and her new body. Not enough words to bottle that kind of love.

Glad you enjoyed your TN time. And yes, we are a bunch of nice people with lots of churchin' going on!
