Blessed...

When our children are leaving us to spend time with friends or family, after reminding them to behave, we always whisper to them, "Remember who you are and whose you are."

When you have given your heart and life to God, you are one of His children. With that comes not only a new life and new found responsibilities, but an abundance of promises He has made to each one of us. We are His beloved, His blessed ones.

My blog title, 'Blessed...' is inspired by exactly that. His promise of divine favor in our lives. Mercy, grace, joy, peace, love, forgiveness...the list is long and one that cannot be exhuasted no matter what the situation we face each day.

Today my heart is to remind the body of Christ that although we do suffer through trials, no matter what comes our way, we must remember who we are and whose we are.

I am a child of God, the thought out creation of the one true and living God. Blue blood runs through my veins.

I am the daughter of a King.

You are so right. We are all so blessed, in spite of what happens in our lives.

I just told myself the very same thing while I sat in the girls room tonight after tucking them in.
God loves us so much, sometimes I forget how much.

blessings to you, I am a new reader. Beautifully written! I try to embrace each day with that simple knowledge of knowing that I am HIS. He is interested in knowing me, caring for me and give me the desires of my heart. Life happens but that knowledge alone is a true and real blessing.

So very true - we are blessed beyond measure by his grace. I am passing this post along to a friend - it will be a great encouragement to her. Thanks!

It is so nice to "meet" you! I love this post. I like how you say that we are "thought out" creations of God. He thought about me. He didn't just throw me together on a whim. He thought about me before He created me. Talk about making you feel loved and special!
Thank you for sharing this. I so much want my own children to know who they are in Christ.
Blessings! :)
