Homemade Potpourri

I am a HUGE fan of scented candles, pumpkin spice being my absolute favorite. I would have one burning all day long if I could. Unfortunately, that can get pretty pricey. Quite a few years ago I found a recipe online for simmering potpourri that you can make yourself. The scent that permeates your home from this blessed concoction can only be explained as heavenly!

I thought I would share Joanne's World Famous Simmering Potpourri Recipe with you, so that your home can smell just as delicious.

5-10 cinnamon sticks

1 heaping tbsp whole cloves

2-3 bay leaves

1/2 sliced lemon

1/2 sliced orange

Put all ingredients in a pot of water on your stove. Simmer over low heat, checking regularly so that it doesn't boil over or burn out all water.

Make sure to let me know how it works for you!

Gonna try me some of that! Yeah!

As to the elections...yes we have all been disappointed...his values are different that ours..but---he needs our prayers---and the turn in the electoral process sets the stage for what God is about to do in the world...the GETTING ready of the BRIDE of JESUS CHRIST!

God's power did not change with the election of Nobama. I am hoping that it will cause us ALL to prayer ever more fervently! For our lost families and friends. Being less afraid to speak out for the sake and cause of Christ Jesus!

I love you so much! I hope your day is filled with yummy scents! and blessing and anointing of the Holy Spirit!

What a great idea, Joanne. I like to simmer apple cider with all the fragrant spices on the stove, but then I drink it and it's gone.

I'll have to try your recipe.

Oh reminds me of my mom...... She use to do that same thing. She would leave it in a pot on the back burner on low and would add water to it every day.
