Busted Out of the Slammer!

Spent most of my morning today busting our beagle out of doggy-jail. One of our four darlings apparently left our side gate open. Angel soon made her daring escape. Her wild day of fun ended when she was picked up by the local fuzz.

We weren't home to receive her one phone call so she spent the whole night behind bars. In a way I'm glad. It gave her some time to think about her crime and the shame she has caused our family.

She was charged with being out past curfew without proper identification. My children convinced us to pay $150.00 to bail her out. They believe she's worth it.

I'm still not too sure.

I'm glad you let her out - she looks pretty remorseful over her wild night!

So glad you busted her out, she is way too cute for the slammer.

Oh look at her begging for forgiveness! She is so sorry. Love her coloring. I don't know if you've see our beagle (under the label "dogs" in the left sidebar) but he doesn't have alot of the typical beagle coloring.

He's also twice the size of our previous beagle. But both our beagles were runners.

I guess it has been one of those dog days. Our lab got into the garbage last night and ate some chicken (bones and all), which he threw up all over the kitchen! What a thing to wake up to! Thanks for sharing your dog adventure, it made me laugh.

Wow...I never had to make "bail" at the doggy jail. But, with a crazy golden and even more stranger german shepherd, I can fully understand your hesitation. :o)

She looks like she is sorry for what she did. As for the one who left the gate open...I think listening to the chipmunks for 24 hours straight might do the job! :o) That was hilarious, I haven't heard that rendition before!

Thanks for the giggles,
Denise

$150?? Are you kidding?

I love the way you told the story :)

I'm cracking up!! Of course she is worth $150! You should have told Kim...she would have run to pick her up for you for sure. Then again, she would have kept her for herself though! Loved it...

I had such a clever response prepared and then the music came on... now I am laughing to hard to think straight. LOL!
Sorry for your loss (of $150 of course). Wink!

You nearly sent me into heart failure with that musical greeting; ok, maybe just on the edge of it, but honestly, was that purposeful?

$150 bucks to bail him out? I'd have to think about that one. Poor thing, another reason you need to move here. There's no penalty for roaming dogs. It's just the way of things. Now stealing him is a whole other "thang."

has to be the breed. our *dale* does the same act. although his tactic is to slowly sneak off. once he gets a smell...any smell, or the thought of finally catching a squirrel...he's a goner. thankfully he hasn't made it that far to jail, but you never know with a beagle. his other crime is the howling. i bet the neighbors want to turn US in to jail sometimes! doggone dogs!
