Growing Up! Monday

When I meet fellow Christians, quite often the topic drifts to how long we have been walking with the Lord. People love to share the length of time they have known Jesus.

My greatest desire is to grow up in my faith.

If I am a ten year old Christian, then I want to be a ten-year-old Christian. I don't want to be a baby-believer. I've been saddened to meet many thirty-year-old-five-year-olds.

We are to grow up in the knowledge and understanding of Christ. Are you maturing in Him? Are you growing up? What is it He is trying to teach you? What are you learning?

Let's share with one another what we are learning and how we are growing up in Christ. Come on friends, add your name to Mr. Linky below.

Be your hometown church representative and fill us all in!

This is a powerful message and one that we all need to hear and heed. We have to grow. If we are at the same place today that we were upon our salvation, then there is NO growth.
We have to get off that bottle!

I was one of those 30 year old 5 year olds. Now I am a 35 year old who is growing daily. I couldn't put into words what the Lord is teaching me everyday, that would take too long. The most important thing that he has shown me that I would like to share though, is that He loves me and thinks that I am beautiful, with Him all things are possible, and I am able and qualified when He calls me to do something for Him. I need not be afraid because He has promised to never leave me or forsake me.

This is such a beautiful message!! I try each and every day to grow in my walk with the Lord and encourage others as well. I know that sometimes I take a step back but I can do my best to recognize when I backstep and move forward.

Convicting post! I read it earlier in the day and have been thinking about it since. There are some areas in my life where I see growth (and even more where I'd like to see growth), but the main one is simply finding my joy and contentment in the person of Jesus Christ and in His grace toward me.

Ouch! This stepped on my toes a little bit. (I needed it!)

You speak such truth that we need to hold ourselves accountable in our walk with Christ.
