Here you go Valerie.

You asked me yesterday if I knew of any good Bible commentaries, and where you could find the prophecies Jesus fulfilled online. So here ya go!

Here is a great site with Messianic prophecies cited here. .

As far as Bible commentaries, yeesh, there are quite a few I enjoy. A good place to start would be the site Blue Letter Bible. It contains commentaries from the following:

Bowman, Robert M.

Brown, John

Calvin, John

Chafer, Lewis Sperry

Eastman, Mark

Edersheim, Alfred

Guzik, David

Henry, Matthew

Hoekstra, Bob

Jamieson, Fausset & Brown

Lightfoot, Joseph Barber Luther, Martin

Murray, Andrew

Newton, Isaac

Pirolo, Neal

Smith, Chuck

Smith, Donald R.

Spurgeon, Charles Haddon

Stedman, Ray

Terasaka M.D., David

Torrey, R. A.

Walvoord, John

My favorites are Spurgeon, Torrey, Murrey, Henry, Smith, and Guzik. David Guzik is a pastor in Germany right now. His commentaries are easy to understand and always shine light on something I never knew before.  There are also the Warren Wiersbe commentaries. Great stuff there too.

I have to run. I'm here at Starbucks and my hubby needs me to pick him up down the street. Anyone else out there have a good Bible commentary or site they can share with Valerie? Or me!?

Here's a blog that I enjoy. It's not about prophesies Jesus fulfilled, but he talks about what is going on in the world right now and how biblical prophesies are being fulfilled, mostly in Israel. It's Joel Rosenbergs blog.

Thanks Mari! Paul has read quite a few of his books. I'm heading over to check it out now.

I'm a Blue Letter Bible gal myself! Love them! I truly need someone to break down the scriptures for me so I can make the pieces fit.

Hugs!

Thank you for sharing!

Thank you also for addressing the post to me. When I first read the title I thought, "How cool! She has a friend named Valerie." Imagine the smile on my face when I started to read the post. Believe it or not, it came on a day when I was feeling very insignificant and unnoticed. Then, "wa la!" I realized I wasn't.

Once again, thank you for writing this blog. I for one really appreciate it.

Have a Blessed day!

Valerie
