BooMama's Christmas Tour of Homes

Christmas Tour of Homes

Merry Christmas and Welcome to BooMama's Christmas Tour of Homes.

Come on in, welcome to our home. I am so glad you stopped by. This is my first 'Boomama Christmas Home Tour', so come on in, let me take your coat.

This is our entryway and one of the favorite parts of our home. My husband almost had a stroke when after painting our whole house I pulled out this old farmhouse window to hang. It is such an eyesore to him, but simply beautiful to me. The scripture we had stenciled on our archways was after being inspired by a teaching on Deuteronomy 6:9, "And thou shalt write them (the Word of God) upon the door-posts of thy house, and upon thy gates." This scripture is a welcome sight to other Christians and a repellent to non-believers...or door to door salesmen.

This is our Charlie Brown Christmas tree. We go to the same Christmas tree farm every year and my wonderful husband tries to get the cheapest price possible. This year it cost us $20, and it shows. Friends come from miles around to see our tree and laugh.

This is in our kitchen area.

This nativity scene was my family's when I was growing up. If you look closely you can count all of the chipped noses and missing ears on the sheep and cattle. This nativity is very precious to me.

This chandelier hangs over our kitchen table. I found it in my neighbors garage, she was going to throw it out. I just love it.

One of my all time favorite movies...It's a Wonderful Life!

Yes, even the kids bathroom gets a little bit of Christmas cheer.

Thanks for stopping by, I know you have lots more stops to make...Merry Christmas and God Bless us everyone.

I had to make a difficult decision and not do the tour of homes! :(
Ya see, we are moving in 2 weeks....and unless i wanted to be funny and creative and make fun of our situation, which my brain is so fried right now that I can't.....therefore, i cannot participate in this FUN FUN event.

I cannot wait to see what everyones homes look like. I'm gonna be sad that i'm not doing it because i hate to feel left out of the loop!

Yes. I have issues. And I know.
Merry Christmas Tour of Homes!
Love ya~

Loved reading about your daughter on your sidebar (being a missionary to China as an adult) WOW! What a blessing to have a heart like that as a young child.

Those no-longer-perfect nativity scenes are the best, aren't they?! And I totally dig your Charlie Brown tree!

Your home is just beautiful! I'm so glad BooMama put this tour together. I love the stars hanging in your hallway. (I think I might just "borrow" that idea for my house). And your Christmas tree is cute!

Great job with your beautiful house. I can't wait to have a home one day so I can deck my halls! I did good to just put up a tree this year. Your tree is TOO cute! Very modest and Charlie Brown! It's actually very sweet.

Joanne, what a beautiful home tour. I love that you have the Scripture written above your entry, and that old window is awesome. Your decorations and your precious family bless me this day. Merry Christmas.

I absolutely LOVE the scriptures printed on both sides of the arch! That is a detail I'd love to include in my house someday.

As much as I love the Christmas decorations it is the archway and old farmhouse window that steals the show! Beautiful!!

Charlie Brown trees ROCK! That is the only kind we ever get. You have a very beautiful home and I totally love the verse above the doorway. My mom even has the same Nativity scene as you - very nice.

Love the Scripture on the wall! Surely is inviting!

The Charlie Brown tree is just fine! Decorate it with enough ornaments and tinsel and who will know the difference...LOL.

Thank you for inviting me into your home!

Merry Christmas from Dawn in Germany!

That Christmas Tree reminds me of so many Christmas's at Grandma and Grandpa Derieg's house. Oh, and those chips on the Nativity Scene characters were probably from me. My bad...

Funny, I just dropped by to tour your home because your house was next on the list and I have been SO BLESSED by first, your sweet daughter's angel picture and then the little story of her wanting to be a missionary and then, the HANDWRITING ON THE WALL! Thank you for blessing me tonight! God bless you and your sweet family!
