Cabaret Night

Saturday evening we were entertained by Meghan's High School's 'Cabaret Night'. It is a talent show of sorts, without judges. Students get to share their musical or acting talents. There were singers, musicians, funny skits. It was lots of fun. I must share that there was also lots of teen angst felt by the songs the kids chose to perform. My sister and I were cracking up when a young man came on stage with his guitar and began to sorrowfully play a song he had written called, "Tailgate Love."

Were we really like that when we were teenagers?!?

Meghan has a passion for musical theatre so she sang a song from the musical 'Thoroughly Modern Millie'. We were pretty impressed...

A few fans with our up and coming star, backstage after the show....(Dad & Mom, Grandma & Grandpa and cousins Chelsey and Shelby)

What fun - our school does a thing like that too and I have to give credit to the kids who get up there and do something. So - kudo's to Meghan!

sounds like a fun night. Our school has a "folley night". I can see Caleb doing this, but not Josh.
I dont even want to think about colleges. Josh still has a few years but it will be here before I know it.
