It's summertime...anyone ready for a nap?

Ok, so I am drawing a pretty big blank as to what to post on this week. My heart just isn't into blogging right now.

Anyone ever felt this way?

I am noticing quite a few gals taking much longer in between posts. Is this how it is in the summer for bloggers?

This is my first summer blogging so I don't know! I've slowed down a little, but one of my sisters will call me and say what's wrong if I don't post! Trying to scale back too!

I'm not good at blogging long thoughts per say--just something short and hopefully some encouragement. Or just a picture with a thought. Yes this time of year it's easy to be short on time because summer is filled with activites! But I love to read blogs to unwind from the busy day. So don't give up! Your's is always awesome!

For me- yes. I've been blogging for a couple of years now and it's hard to always come up with something. I try to slow down in the summer so I don't get blogged out!

I've never posted every day but when I started in April it was maybe three times a week but now it's twice a week. I allow God to give me the subject that would hopefully be a blessing to another so maybe it's Him that is holding me back. I do have a draft file that has about six topics and several sentences to start the final post but I've not felt led to complete and post them.

Also, even if I feel the "urge" to post, I've noticed that ladies are taking longer getting around the blog world. I'm "afraid" if I post every day that some people would not get to read every post because they only circulate every couple of days.

It is time consuming as I do put a lot of thought into my posts. I try to always make them inspirational and devotional...in preps for any possible published devotional book God would allow me to compose.

Long, complex answer...probably more than you wanted but it's my truth and my heart.

No one's ever accused me of being a women of few words. haha.

How is it that now that we have absolutely no commitments in the summer and I am getting almost nothing done? My blogs have suffered from my summer slug mode!

I only came by yours today to capture the text I want for the Inspire blog. Does that make me a blog-napper? No, I did get your go-ahead.

I'm laying my head down too! For me, summer is a huge break in my routine, and with my kids at my feet all day, I'm grateful for a complete thought by days' end.

Don't linger in the struggle. Forced words are just as painful for the reader as they are for you. Write from where you're at...let your current be your starting point.

There is something in our everyday that is worthy of our pause. Even better if that worthy finds a few words.

Okay, my blog post title today is "Nothing". I've struggled with posting but I knew I was supposed to. And I'm glad I did. I don't think through what to write so I know that what comes out is what is really on my heart. But I thought it was going to be "nothing".

It's okay for your brain to want a nap, you've had alot going on!! Enjoy the rest.

My daughter works in the morning, and my son is with his dad all day so I have a lot of free time on my hands...so I've been on my blog even more...plus I have certain topics for certain days and that helps me a lot. I do have days where I don't feel like looking at the computer for even a second though!!!

thanks for praying for me! I appreciate it!!!

Yes. take time off. We'll all be here....you know what I'm saying...not that I want you to leave and take that extended break or anything....maybe the word is "pressure." Dob't put pressure on yourself!

Enjoy the Summer!
Hugs~

I am in the same boat. I hope all is well with you and yours. If you have any prayers to spare, could you send a couple my way? Thanks so much.

I've never been good at consistancy but the last few weeks I just can't get into writing anything.
