Book Proposal Update!

Have you ever thought that something looked pretty easy? I remember thinking that roller skating looked simple enough. Quickly putting on my new metal roller skates, only to immediately fall flat on my rump.

Yes, I said metal roller skates. Didn't everyone start out with metal roller skates?

Anyway...

Putting together a book proposal seemed simple enough. That is, until the moment that I personally attempted to take on this gargantuan task. Monday is when I am to have my proposal in to two publishers who have shown interest, Howard Books and Harvest House Publishing.

Completed so far are the title page, chapter summaries, and my chapter one and chapter two. Tonight I will be working on rewriting the six page proposal, and putting together my comparable market analysis which needs to be included as well.

Roller skating was so much simpler.

And yes, my first roller skates were metal!

Luke 1:37 For no promise from God will be impossible of fulfilment.

Stand on this verse my friend. Looking back over the time before you took on this task... the fingerprints of the Lord line each situation.

Winning the LWG scholarship, the multiple scripture references to Habakkuk that you are able... the confirmation scripture that was on your heart- shared with you by a friend at church- and just about everywhere you were for a good month!!!

You are indeed doing what you are called to do! Which means, in Him, all things are possible!!!!

Love you friend.

I can't begin to imagine. But, God is carrying you every step of the way and He'll get you there. Where "there" is.

Praying for you today sweet friend.
Hugs,

I'm some what of a young pup at 34 and I remember the metal roller skates that we tied to our feet while wearing tennis shoes.

My first "real" pair of skates were white. Oh, how I remember them and the rubber stopper.

Good luck.

Rest in His peace and assurance!

That is so exciting about your book! You are a wondeful blog writer!

Isn't it amazing to see how faithful God is in His plans for us? He'll bless every word you write and give you the strength to get through all the deadlines!

What are you writing about? Or maybe it is a secret?

Have a wonderful weekend!

Yes - I had metal roller skates!
I am sure it is really hard and I know I couldn't do it, but YOU CAN!
You'll do great and I'll be praying for you.

Joanne, I am so happy for you - you can do this! As for roller skates - I never had them. Can you believe that?

Joanne,
You have already accomplished a huge part of the proposal! The chapter summaries and 2 chapters alone are a huge undertaking. See how much you've done already! I'll be praying for your completion of the rest.

Having worked on two book proposals this year myself, I SO know what you are saying. It's a long and hard and lonely road. I pray you finish strong and that God opens up a door!

Hi, Joanne. I can so relate to this post. I'm working on a business venture right now myself that I am sure is in God's plan. However, at the moment it is slow and hard and frustrating. Why do we think that because it is God's will that it will be easy? :)

Praying for you as you work on your book proposal...

Happy Sunday!

I feel ya!....not the roller skate part...but the harder part. THE up at 1 a.m. re-reading--what you know by heart. Yeah...I know.

BUT Joanne---HE has a reason for it ALL. Never doubt that. The reason that YOU were left in that room (bloggers reception) until Aimee and I got in there....the reason that our hearts connected....the reason tha we pluck away at a keyboard until our wrists hurt, neck hurts and eyes burn....and that REASON is to TELL the world---that is wanting answers for questions they don't know how to ask...the ANSWER is Jesus.

He told you to go....He even supplied the way....now don't doubt His power to get you through...even though there may be bumps along the way....It's the Way He's already traveled...just keep goin'. Go read Hebrews 13:20-21 in the NIV. It's for you.
I love you girl!
