I DARE YOU!

We all know the importance of working at our marriages, but how many of us really work at them? Just like a well-balanced diet, we know what our body needs, but continue to run through the drive-thru for dinner. Our marriages should not be getting second best, but our absolute first considerations, thoughts and hard work. As women, we desire our men to send flowers, provide financial security and romance, and some of us would just be happy with a husband who picks up his dirty socks.

But what are we doing to help, to encourage, to show sacrificial love to our husbands?

Beginning this Friday, my friend Chelle at The World of Chelle is hosting a 40 day treat for our marriages, The Love Dare as seen in the movie Fireproof. Whether your marriage is all roses and dark chocolates, or is hanging on by a thread, take the time to go over to Chelle's and see what you can do to be a part of this 40 day transformation.

I double-dog-dare you!

I just wish I still had dirty socks to pick up...(oh, he never did that anyway). I do wish he had stayed committed. I'm praying for beloved to realize the deceit of the enemy and to return to his covenant with God and me. He's a Christian man so it's a scary thing to think he could be so gravely deceived and tricked by the evil one.

I'll check out her blog and see if there's anything applicable at this stage besides praying for God's intervention into beloved's heart to break this bond and stronghold that he doesn't even know satan has over him.
Blessings,
Paula

I saw the movie and loved it. I even posted about it on my blog (with an interview from Kirk C.).

My husband bought the book and was telling a friend from his men's group about the book and the man took my husband's book. hee hee! So, I guess we need to go buy another one.

I also saw the movie with my wonderful husband and I loved it! If you have read my blog...our life and marriage hasn't been a bed of roses by no means and we contemplated divorce more than once. BUT, by the Grace of God, we managed to work through it with all the problems with ex-spouses, stepchildren and our wonderfully blended family...we are stronger than we have ever been. However, WE ALL could improve in loving, serving and honoring our spouses...I know I could.

Thanks you! I love your blog.

Jennifer
