Confession is good for the soul.

They say that confession is good for the soul. So, I confess...

I HATE HOUSEWORK!

When I look at this lovely woman in the picture above, smiling as she crouches on her hands and knees, scrubbing the ring out of her bathtub, I think to myself, "Is this woman medicated? She must be!"

Who in their right mind loves to wash windows, scrub toilets, clean blinds and vacuum?

After twenty years of scrubbing, washing, cleaning and shining, I am plain tuckered out. Fly-lady, be gone!

LOL ... where is your fly swatter? And I didn't know people actually cleaned their blinds! Oops. :o)

Amazing -- I took some of Momstheword's advice and timed myself as I cleaned yesterday. It was interesting how much I could pick up in 20 minutes.

I'm with you though -- cleaning is not fun!

okay i will admit that the woman in the picture must be medicated. however, i love to clean! maybe it's because i know what a privilege it is to be able to do it for yourself. or maybe i am just weird!! could be a bit of both.

Some housework I don't mind...vacuuming and sweeping. But the tub, toilet, no. Blinds and windows? Are we suppose to clean those? I thought it was expected to always be dirty. My house is for sell and has been for 19 months; however, I still refuse to clean either of those. Surely, it's the not cause of no sale. hehe

I have to say that I really love to clean. I enjoy vacuuming and sweeping, cleaning toilets is right up there on my list.
Do you really believe that? No? I wouldn't either! No one is that crazy!

I'm with ya - definitely struggle with the housecleaning though I would like to take more pride in keeping my house tidy and fresh - consistently!

This is so funny. I NEVER like the actual work, just the feeling after. So I would like to have someone else do it for me at all times, please.

I like a clean house so I just tell myself that when I'm cleaning....over and over, lol!

ME TOO! I had to clean like a mad woman just to be able to "leave the house" on vacation! What's up with that! A habit long formed. I suppose it came from my mother. The one who "rearranged" her pantry and put new shelf liner on her shelves before she left for Israel...in case she didn't come back...and that way---when her children looked inside all her cabinets..."her children would rise up and call her "neat and organized".....how about that!

I love you dearly! I enjoyed the smile I got from reading this today! Perfect way to end a week!

Oh, I love that graphic! I am a terrible housekeeper. Terrible. I despise cleaning. So I don't. At least as little as possible! :-)
