Death By Purse

My purse is like a piece of luggage. I carry everything in this bag, from pens and planners to cameras and small children. You never know when you might be stopped and asked to play an impromptu game of "Let's Make a Deal."

I would SO win, by the way.

Today my sunglasses were my most recent purse-casualty. Somehow they wandered down to the bottom, the bermuda triangle of my bag. I was driving in the car with my husband this morning when I pulled them out and put them on. Turning and quietly smiling at him.

"Now that is something you should put on your blog." He laughed.

So, waaa laaaaa....

Fill me in ladies. What's the weirdest thing in your purse?!?

LOL! Cute picture. The worst is when the sunglasses get all scratched up from being in my purse. There's a reason why I don't buy expensive glasses. I don't know if this is "weird", but I carry around a coupon book holder and it takes up half of the room in my purse.

I love the one lens look.

The craziest thing that happens in my purse... that would have to be my 'girl' stuff. I always carry a couple of tampons, just in case. For some reason they always come out of the wrappers and just bob around in there. ??? I don't know how it happens.

Bummer! I hate shopping for sunglasses so that would have really bummed me out. LOL! Weirdest thing in my purse... Not really weird but hopefully not common for most, an Epipen. Keep those hazelnuts away from me and it will be able to remain at the bottom of my purse right where I like it.
Smiles!

i am actually very neat and organized when it come to my purse. i know, i know...GAG! but, i hate it when i can't find anything, so i usually try and clean it out each night. we've played the 'let's make a deal' purse game at MOPS and i totally lost because i rarely keep strange things in there. go figure!

those sunglasses are the next big thing, i think! what a great look!

Nice look! I really don't have anything too wierd in my purse, but some people would think that carrying a camera around is strange. Bloggers understand though!

Sounds like me - I always carry half my household in my purse (at least it looks like it)! I cannot think of any weird things now, though... Some people would think me crazy, because I always have a little Bible in my purse, just in case I need to look up something, but that's not weird to me...

Love the pic!! Good choice on the big glasses! I read an article recently that the big lens help keep the eye wrinkles away...I headed directly to Long's Drug Store to pick up a cheap pair!

Most of the junk in my purse belongs to my kids because apparently I'm their pack mule! Got an empty bag of pretzels and a gift certificate for roller skating!

Hee hee!

Sometimes when my allergies are acting up, instead of using those little tissue pouches that last me an hour, I just put a half used roll of toilet paper in my purse.:)

Cayenne pepper. My hubby put it in there without me knowing it. We were going to a friend's house for brunch and he wanted to take it along for seasoning.

It's funny you posted this, because I have a post coming up about all the stupid things in my purse.

Today the weirdest thing I had in my purse was a disposable coffee cup with powdered caramel vanilla coffee creamer in it. My purse was so full it didnt spill or tip over. I had to go to a seminar for work and I knew they have coffee, but plain creamer and I wanted my "perfumy" coffee.

There's stuff in there that has been lost for years. I couldn't tell you. I don't keep a record...

By the way, would love to hear more about Mt. Hermon. It looks as if your time was richly blessed in so many ways. Loved your piece about our loved ones not missing us from heaven. I felt that way about Billy Graham's training center at the Cove.

You are too cute! My husband calls my purse my boat. I have a french purse inside of my purse, call that crazy? I can barely fit it in there. I laugh at myself every time I try to pull it out because it's so squeezed in there. Sometimes a just take the french purse out and carry that, but mostly I carry the other because it has straps.

Blessings,
Alleluiabelle

LOL ... what a cute post and I enjoyed the comments even more! :-D Amazing what is in some of our purses!

I don't have too much weird stuff in mine. Probably the envelope of coupons is the weirdest.

Enjoyed this. :)

Okay, I'm almost embarassed to put this out there, but a carry a zip lock bag in my purse which contains emergency bathroom items: a pack of toilet seat covers for those moments when you must sit; a small roll of toilet paper because you never know when your stall may not have any TP; a small bottle (purse size) of Lysol Spray - you just never know what you might need to spray down or cover up; a pack of wipes to swipe down tables in a restaurant, or to use if there's no soap in the soap dispenser.
There, I've just embarassed myself in front of all the blog world. Oh my, I feel so...vulnerable.

Tooooo cute! Purses are my passion and a definite weakness...I find myself standing in front of my purse shelves in the closet, just staring and trying to figure out which little jewel will travel through my day with me. Call me crazy...

I know exactly what is in my purse because I change purses so often that each item is commited to memory! My family calls my purse the 'family pharmacy' because I carry so many of our meds, plus pain relievers and the oh.so.important allergy stuff!!!

Now I think I'll go give my purse a hug and thank it for being such a faithful companion....
yeah...I'm crazy!

Be blessed, Joanne!

Joanne! When I saw your photo I and the title of your blog I laughed so hard!! Thank you for sharing the humor in your daily life :D

I can't say that I have anything weird or strange in my purse currently.... but I am always digging for what ever it is I need and go into a panic when I can't immediately find it... of course it's always in there :D It's a running joke in our family...

Hope your were able to fix the sunglasses! ;)

I have a lipstick problem and I'm not afraid to own it. I recently switched to a much smaller purse (on sale 50% off!) therefore I was forced to make some difficult choices and narrow down my lipsticks to a mere 8. Or so. Wasn't easy, my friend...

I have just the regular stuff in mine! I am SO boring! I just cleaned mine recently, so I'm feeling pretty good about it!

Scizzers(?) I put them in there a while ago for some unknown reason and I never took them out! I won't be traveling on a plane soon!

I have a little getting to know you on my blog for you to do...

I am home from the office today. Sick day. Not much energy to do anything so I decided to read some of my favorite blogs. Somehow, don't ask me how because I so forget how I got here, I discovered your blog. Oh my. It has been a pleasant time reading back thru some of your entries. You make me giggle. And your list of 100 things made me laugh out loud. Thanks for your bit of sunshine on this dreary Monday. I have added you to my favorite list and look forward to reading all your older posts to get caught up.

Your picture and this post is too cute. I actually had to go and see what was "weird" in my purse today (as opposed to other days) and I have a 12v battery for a Black and Decker drill (from our office move)...I think that qualifies as weird... Thanks for making us laugh.

I LOVE THIS POST!!!!!!!!
BUT I would win the Let's Make a Deal. Surely. I've had tape measures (the carpenter's kind) Bibles, pens and pencils (about 32), paper, pads (both kinds)diapers (seems like just last month--but he's potty trained now---[the grandson --not Jeff] *grinning), a bottle or sippy cup, toy car or two--or three, spider man and batman (at the same time), crayons, coloring book, markers, calendar, phone, ipod, cards, notes, receipts, a camera with carrying case (you just never know), about 8 different keys and a variety of key chains (I like keychains)--plus whatever book I might be reading, makeup. That goes w/o saying. Clippers/files/polish. Handcream, germx, gum, mints,AND to top it all off...I usually ALWAYS carry another bag. SUCH as a computer bag...with my computer. AND all the other books that I THINK I might have time to READ between redlights. Yeah. Right. No wonder my back hurts all the time!

Okay. Whew! That tired me out just unpacking all that crap. NOW I have to load it all back up before I leave work! Wait---where'd I put my gun!

My husband says that if you stick your hand in my purse you might not get it back.

The weirdest thing I've ever had in my purse was an alarm clock. Last year I went to California for a convention. I was sitting in a pizza parlor with my publisher and his staff and we were talking about weird things people carry in their purses. I pulled out an alarm clock right there at the table.

By the way, love those glasses. I've had a few purse casualties too.
