First day of summer vacation, Samuel decides to write a smiley face on his stomach with Sharpie pen and talk to me through his belly-button all day long.
Okay, Joanne, this is PRICELESS! Hang in there, Mama. I know what you mean about it being a long summer. Sitting here pretty immobile and trying to supervise a bunch of kids (playdate going on) is proving to be quite the challenge. :)
How cute..... I just had to invite you to take a look at the current post of The Moment of Truth blog. The message posted there is amazing, entitled Imperfect People. The young man speaking was my pastor for several years. It is such a good message, I thought you might enjoy it.
And then you turn around and they are all grown up, gone, and living adult lives. And I wonder how those years could have possibly slipped by so fast when they were so very slow at the time.

Well at least he keeps you laughing!
And just for the record, you'll blink and the kids will be back in school. That's how it works. The days go by so fast, but sometimes the hours drag.
