Bookaholics-Anonymous Meeting Over at Blessed...

Hi. My name is Joanne and I'm a bookaholic.

Except, I'm far from recovering. I don't want to and I don't plan to. I love books. I love how they feel. I love how they look. And I love how they smell. I acquire books like one who is searching out precious gems for their own selfish pleasures.

Some say reading and writing go hand in hand. I say reading and breathing go hand in hand. I have books by the side of my bed, books by my sofa, books on my shelves and books in my bathroom. I heart books.

I love them so much that I plan on having a few book reviews in the next few weeks. I will be including interviews with the authors of these books too!

As for now, I am reading Crazy Love by, Francis Chan. Head over to Lauren at Walking by Faith to read her wonderful post on this very same book. I am also finishing up The Dream Walker by Bruce Wilkinson, a book that a precious blogging sister sent my way, Barbara with B His Girl.

So, from one bookaholic to another...what books are you reading this summer?

I'm currently working on a project where I read a book every day for a year - so I've read too many books so far this year to put into the comments section. But at the moment I am reading Prairie Tale by Melissa Gilbert and I'm really enjoying it.

Oh girl, you sound like me. I love the ways books feel and smell too. I buy them just to have them. Eventually I get around to reading them.

I'm currently only reading the bible when I read. My time is limited right now.

Love!

Oh no, I think I'm a bookaholic! I am a sucker for books! I'm glad I'm not the only one who has books piled all over!! :-) I just got done reading "PrayerWalk: Becoming a Woman of Prayer, Strength, and Discipline" by Janet Holm McHenry. Great book! I just picked up "Soon to be a Motion Picture: New Direction for Life's Dramas" by Donna Partow. I had started reading it a while back but got distracted by many other really good books. I'm glad I'm reading it again. :-) So many books, so little time . . . .:-) Looking forward to reading your reviews, Joanne. Happy reading!

I am reading TWELVE EXTRAORDINARY WOMEN by John MacArthur and several novels about women in the Bible as research for an article I am writing. I love the reading and I even love the writing--once I get started. Getting started is big for me.

Hello, my name is Beth and I am a bibliophile.

The books I am currently reading all relate to the one I am currently writing. They are:
The Artist's Way
The First Five Pages
Description & Setting
How to Write and Sell Your First Novel
Book in a Month
Characters, Emotion & Viewpoint
The Marshall Plan Workbook
Plot & Structure

That explains why my brain is whirling in the imaginary world I have created and engrossed by the characters who populate it.

Crazy love is a great book! He has a second book coming out in August as well. I am currently reading Elizabeth George's book entitled "Beautiful in God's Eyes, a tribute to a Proverbs 31 woman. I just finished reading Pam Farrels 10 Best decisions a woman can make.
I love to read encouraging books and books that will help me in my spiritual walk. You will have to let us know how you enjoyed Crazy Love. Have a blessed Sunday Joanne
