I'm Curious...

Where are you from? I know you girls are from all over the country and even the world, but where from exactly? Do you love it there?

AND, if you could live anywhere else where would it be?

We live here.

But, we love it here.

I'm a girl who lives for food so California has In n' Out Burger and Nation's Burgers you can't find anywhere else. But, how can you beat Cracker Barrel and Chuy's, home cooked biscuits and genuine down to earth people?

I'm just sayin...

What a good idea! I may steal this one from you and ask it on one of my posts too!
You know where I am from, but I'll answer anyway. I live in Southwest Michigan - 2o minutes form Lake Michigan and I love it here!

Joanne,
I added my new blog to your widget today. Thanks for the inspiration with your page. Mine is so plain and ordinary compared to yours. I need to pick your brain! It will take a while to set it up. Go see mine anyway at
ablessedreflection.blogspot.com

Oh, and for your readers: we live about 1 hour from Joanne in a lovely lakeside community in CA.

Chickamauga, Georgia! That's 20 min. outside of Chattanooga, TN. A very beautiful and historic area.

(Formerly we lived in Lancaster Co., PA.)

I live in Chattanooga Tennessee, love it here.

Hey there- I think you already know this also but I live about 5 minutes away from Mari.
I LOVE Michigan and couldn't see myself living anywhere else. However there are lots of places in the US I would love to vacation at.

This is a great question to ask!

I live in Oak Grove, Louisiana - love it here, but would move anywhere if my kids and grandkids were there.

We are stationed in beautiful Maine, but would love to live in Montana or near the Great Smokey Mountains of Tennesee.

Great idea! I live in Pennsylvania, around the Amish folks. I have 3 families that are my neighbors - BUT we are NOT Amish. We just enjoy seeing and getting to know them.

I would LOVE to live on Colorado, Wyoming or Arizona. I'm a county girl at heart so the wide open plains (but with some hills) is my hearts desire

We make our home in Elk Grove, California. I love that I can go to the ocean, rivers or even Lake Tahoe with a short drive. Yosemite is only a few hours away and Disneyland is half a day's drive.

The produce here is fantastic. The climate comfortable (except those triple-digit days.) And there are many wonderful people (not everyone in CA makes the news!)

I am reminded of Psalm 16:6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.

I could happily live out my days in California!

Love this!

I'm from Southwest Florida - on the Gulf, in the tropics. Summers are brutal, winter is gorgeous.

I have put out to the Universe, by which I mean to God, that I would love a second home - Tennessee or North Carolina - in the mountains.

I live in the City of Roses, in one of the most beautiful states in our Union, in my opinion. I can be at the sea shore in two hours if I go West, and if I go East, in an hour I can be on beautiful Mount Hood! If I continue one for another hour east of Mount Hood, I will be in our high desert country.

As a native Oregonion with 'duck feet', I've lived in beautiful Colorado, and in Santa Barbara, CA for college....but you know what? There's just no place like home.

"I'm a Beaver born, I'm a Beaver bred, and when I die, I'm a Beaver dead!!"(one of my old high school fight songs!)

Just like a few of your other readers - I'm from Western Michigan - 20 minutes from beautiful Lake Michigan. (I am Mari's sister, you know) I was born and raised here but my family loves to travel to Kentucky and Tennessee!

Glad to see I am not the only Florida girl, although I am in North Central Florida, near the home of the Florida Gators. I am a native Floridian so I wouldn't know about living anywhere else, but I sure love visiting other places. And just in case you didn't know...it is hot, hot, hot in the Florida sun, but we love it.
This has been a neat post Joanne, finding out where so many people are from. Great idea.

Though I was born in NY, I'm a Jersey girl all the way. Love the Garden State - best tomatoes, blueberries and corn anywhere. Love the shore, the mountains, the lakes. Love being near NYC. Love all the different cultures and food. Love the four seasons. Love being able to go a convenience store 24/7. Love, love, love not having to pump my own gas!
Sadly, not too many bloggers in the northeast!

I'm a California girl from birth to 50! Who knows what the future may hold, but I will always hold California in my heart no matter where I go. I love to travel to other states and countries but I am always glad to be back home here in the foothills of California. "Below the snow, above the fog!" As the sign states in our old historic town. Add that to a mixture of mountains, ocean, and the delta breeze...what more could I ask for?

I live in NW Florida...I'd LOVE to try living in Alaska...at least for one year. Don't ask me why.

Then I'd like to live where we vacation the most..the mountains of North Georgia...I'd love to be up there near the top of a mountain...:)

BUT I'd like to try other places too...somewhere COOLER than Florida at this time of high humidity year!

I'm in Monterey, California, and I love many things about it. It's never too hot, the beach is a 5 minute drive away, there are a lot of parks and other family-friendly fun things to do, and I've found that since we moved here over 2 years ago I've been much more creatively inspired than I was in Sacramento, where we used to live. The downsides? Plenty. It's largely a military community, which few tourists realize, and that means that it's nearly impossible to make friends who aren't leaving in a few months! Also, although there are churches everywhere, the peninsula is quite dead spiritually. Difficult things! But we know God moved us out here and we'll stay until He moves us somewhere else. =)

I live in North East Florida and would love it here but if I could live somewhere else it would be North Carolina (close to the mountains and the beach)

Well you know where I am, but I'll say it anyway - down the hill from you in Roseville, CA! I do love CA weather and we know that we are right where God wants us. I was born and raised in Montana and do wish we could have a summer cabin there.
