Santa is a bully.

Santa is the biggest bully on the block. Don't believe me? Just ask Thanksgiving. He'll tell ya. Every year, the moment Mr. Tom Turkey takes his rightful place on stage, Santa busts in on the act. The older I get, the angrier it makes me.

According to the four seasons rule-book, the Fall season begins on or around September 22nd and ends on or around December 22nd. Thanksgiving has already given up over three weeks of Fall time to this holiday-dictator. But, it's never enough. Why isn't Santa playing by the rules? I'm beginning to dislike Mr. Jolly Ol' Fall-hater.

Those of us who love the changing of the leaves, have to bite our tongues as we shop for our pumpkin candles and Thanksgiving turkey, all the while, being serenaded by music before it's time.

On November 10th, no one shopping at the Dollar Store should have to consider if it's beginning look a lot like Christmas everywhere we go.

On December 25th, at my house, when up on our housetop reindeer pause, and out jumps good ol' Santa Claus...he will get a swift kick in the shins from me!

LOL...the retailers do rush the seasons for sure...that picture is priceless...reminds me of some of my pictures as a child with Santa...I was very shy and the big guy in the red suit always intimidated me....

HAHAHA!
This is so funny! AND TRUE!

I think last year, when I heard Christmas music being played 2 weeks before Thanksgiving I was outraged... silly old St. Nick... don't you know to keep your big, fluffy butt out of Turkey day?!

Being Thankful-- think the retailers do not have it in their vocabulary --

Oh, Girl... I am SOOO right there with you! And I resent that it makes me come off as a Hum-Bug! But, to EVERYthing there is a SEASON! Working in a Gift Shop, it's amazed me just how little we've sold any of our Fall items. We used to sell tons. Now, they don't even care. They're onto Christmas. They were complaining in October that our Christmas wasn't out yet. I just told them to go to Wal-Mart and Target- they have plenty. :)
I LOVE Thanksgiving. Love Fall. Love it all. It's like Christmas - without all the pressures... or at least, it WAS.
I'll rant with you any day on this. :)

There's a whole lot of truth there! LOL. I tend to get sucked into it to. I love all the Christmas colors and sounds. I think they should move Christmas to January since it's technically not on the "real" day Jesus was born anyway! LOL. I think if they were spread out a bit it would help! LOL! Do you think I could get that to happen? Probably not huh?

Sorry- don't hate me- but I'm one of the ones loving the Christmas music!
I don't like Christmas lights and decorations up yet but I do love the music. It just makes me happy.

Ok so I am laughing so hard I hope I can type.
While I love the fall decorations, and the wonderful smells of fall.
I somthimes get sucked into those pretty glittery sights of Christmas. It does not help when someone in your neighborhood put up Christmas lights 3 weeks ago!! Yep, lookin at them as I type this!! Our radio station has been playing Christmas music since Oct 31!!
My family is going to take time to be thankful, stuff ourselves with the turkey and fixens then go out and find our lights that are tangled up somewhere in storage.

Happy Fall

Joanne, this is too funny. I love it. Kick him in the patootie for me. You know when I first read your post title on my sidebar, my eyes say "satan is a bully". Amen to that too, huh? satan IS a bully trying to do evil in our lives...many times succeeding and not just attempting.
