Heading home today. I'm grateful for another mountaintop experience. Praising God for new friends, old friends, and holy stretching. The Lord's favor and grace poured out on me this week. Can't wait to share it all with you. Very soon. Here's a little bit:
Was able to spend some time with Guidepost author, BJ Taylor. She helped critique a piece I am working on for their Angels On Earth magazine. Had a great visit with Sheila Seifert, editor of Focus on the Family's Thriving Magazine. We shared some common middle-aged fashion tips. I hope to see her again next year. Spoke with Ginger Kolbaba, editor of Kyria. She oversees Christianity Today's online woman magazine (Kyria) and Marriage Partnership. She remembered a piece she'd accepted of mine for Today's Christian Woman before they stopped production. She asked me to resubmit it for Kyria. Ginger teaches the magazine track at Mount Hermon. A really sweet and very busy gal.
Had a wonderful time with Tonya Stoneman, editor of In Touch magazine.I dig her. We took a hike and spoke writer shop talk. Wish she lived closer. She would be my inner-hula-hoop of girlfriends.
Enjoyed meeting for the first time, Doug and Margie Newton, editors of Light & Life Magazine. They'd like me to send in an article we discussed together over lunch. These two were a real treat. It was a blessing watching them in church together, holding hands, or with his arm around her. Their newest grandbaby was born today. WooHoo!
Can't wait to go home and hug on my family. This year I missed them even before leaving. Strange. You'd think I'd want to run full speed ahead to a five-day writers conference. They are the breath of my life. Love them to pieces.
Thank you Lord for another overwhelming Mount Hermon mountaintop experience.

It was nice to see your smiling face live and in person! Wish our paths had crossed more often. Excited with you over your good news! Continue to follow Him through the doors He's opened; it's fun to see where He's taking you.

So glad your trip was great. I can't wait to hear about it. Call me, girlfriend!!
Also, thanks for the Isaiah 43 verses. I am speaking on April 24 [as you know :)] and Isaiah 43:1-4 is my topic. I needed the perfect conclusion and when I read your verses this morning, they just shouted out "use me!!" And I will.

It was wonderful sharing Mt. Hermon with you and I am celebrating your connections. Praise God He is using your talent for His glory. Love you!
You girls are precious to me! I felt your prayers while I was there. I truly did.
So happy to hear that you were blessed greatly during your time away. It sounds like the Lord is going to be using you more and more and more...Praise you Lord for this precious woman and the amazing talent and work that you have blessed her with. Glorifying you Lord in all of this.
Blessings,

It sounds like you had a wonderful time at Mt. Hermon :) Yeah!! I got to go a few years back (I think it was 2001?) and remember it as a grand time. I saw on your sidebar you have something in a March, 2010 issue of Vista -- I do, too! Maybe we are in the same issue. I'll have to go look :) Hope you enjoy all those hugs from the family once you get home. Always the best part of being away.
Isn't the Lord just so awesome. His timing is perfect. He brings people into our lives at the right times. It sounds like you have some pretty heavy networking for writing going on there. God bless you in your writing endeavors.
