I'm Blogging This

Bloggers are daily history-keepers - storytellers online. Some use their white space as a journal, a personal diary, holding nothing back. Some share what's on their hearts, putting out there what might make a husband cringe.

I speak from experience here.

But, how personal is too personal?

There are lots of things that go on under our roof I'd never think to announce to the world. Some things are so GOOD, I wish I had the guts! I wanted to blog about Samuel spitting for the first time. I wanted to blog about Franklin Graham and his uninvite to the Pentagon's National Day of Prayer. I wanted to blog about the new abortion documentary coming out soon. I want to blog lots of things I don't blog about.

For the most part, I try to keep my blog a home where my children wouldn't be too embarrassed to hang out with me.

But, it sure does keep me from sharing my heart sometimes. In honor of bloggers with the guts to be way too personal, I thought I'd share three not-very-glowing  personal things.

1. I'm judgemental. Remember, I'm a police dispatcher. I get paid very well to answer a 911 call and "judge".
 My judgemental-muscle is rock hard.

2. My relationships need help. When I'm hurt by someone I cut them off. Not a very good personality-trait to have.

3. I'm selfish.

Well, I'd like to say that feels better, but I can't.
I'm judgemental and selfish, not a liar.

How much is too much to share ?

I think those are traits we all have to some degree or another. The thing is, you are willing to admit it, and by doing that work at it and ask forgiveness when you need to.
PS - The abortion movie looks like it'll be a good one; very eye opening!

Is this why you don't visit any more? LOL! I'm just kidding.
I have come to realize that there is a blog out there for every one. The controversial, the silly, the devotional, the information etc.
So I guess it just boils down to what you want yours to be.
I think you do a great job personally.
I keep coming back so......
Hugs

praise Jesus, though, cause when we know we fall short, we can know we need Him and demonstrate Him to others!

I love your blog and it's always encouraging. I think we all have to listen to the Holy Spirit. What may be right for one person may not be for another. It's bloggers like you who make this newbie want to continue to blog!

Ummm yes. I had visited on a familiar blog---and suddenly reading...wish I weren't. I use the X button at the top of the screen. I don't want to know the details of you lovin' on yo man.

Personally....my dear...I've never been anything but a mess of giggles when reading your darlin' heart and life. Except when I was a mess of tears. The snot-running kind too at times.

God is mighty good to link our hearts as sisters.... :)

I don't have a clue...

But I thought I'd say so anyway. Sorry the bug is making its way through your house. I've had two pukers this week... hope I'm not next.

You're a good mom. Love you.

I just love how real you are, Joanne, and that's how I want to be, and hope I am. At least with my friends. Selfish? Me too! Judgemental, yeah, at times, but I'm trying really hard not to be, and with God's help, will be less and less. This is a great place to connect with each other when I can't be with you. :(
