LOVE is a Phone Call to a Girlfriend

There's been LOTS going on in our neck of the woods. I haven't had a chance to do much of anything, including visiting all of you!

I hope to run around and catch up with everyone VERY soon.

My manuscript is getting polished and with only about eight weeks left until it's due in the publisher's hands...I'm overwhelmed. Each time I read through a chapter you'd think I had a split personality.

WOW. Did this really come from me? Thank you Lord. This is some AWESOME writing. AWESOME! So many moms will be touched by these words God. Thank you for allowing me to author this book.

Twenty minutes later...

This is HORRIBLE! It stinks worse than our family car on a summer day. Lord, why would you ever ask me to do this? What were you thinking!?

After a few phone calls to a precious girlfriend (Thanks Beth!), she talked me down from the ledge and reminded me that a diet of raspberry Zingers and Dreyer's ice cream wasn't helping things.

LOVE in our home this week is a phone call with a girlfriend.

Hi Joanne! I haven't been around to anyone's site for awhile, and I felt the silence was too much!! Gotta connect, even though the busyness isn't over yet! Glad your friend talked you down off the ledge! Been there, done that! God is so good to provide just what we need when we need it, isn't He? Praise His Name! Saw the Elis. Elliot teaching mention on your sidebar--yes, I have a link to those on my blog, too! I have also made them into CDs and have loaned them out to others--they are rich wisdom! I just was recommending them last night to a gal at my "Mom Thing"! I hope that your book will get done in a timely fashion, that you'll live to tell about it, that the Lord will make it exactly what He wants it to be, and that He will POUR OUT His grace and Spirit upon you!!
Blessings,
Wendy

Love looks like a lot of phone calls and letters and prayers from friends (known and unknown) all around the world on my behalf. Truly, until one has been on the receiving end of intercessory prayer, it's hard to imagine the depth of such a gift.

I'm beginning to understand.

Love you, friend. Blessed Sabbath rest to you and yours.
