I have begun!

It's official, I have begun my book proposal. I've decided that whether this proposal is accepted or rejected, whether I succeed or fail, I will include you as I walk down this path.

This morning after taking the kids by some garage sales (a favorite Saturday pastime for us), my husband and I let the kids play at the park while we hung out at the coffee shop down the street.

This is where I worked on my title page and my proposal letter. I still need to work a bit more on my graphic for the title page. I'm having a difficult time finding a picture of the "Dick and Jane" books. I specifically need a picture of the little girl "Jane" running by herself. Since the title I am proposing is going to be "See Jane Run", I felt this would be fitting.

I began working on my chapter titles while our whole family watched "College Road Trip" together. (A movie I highly reccommend, by the way. It's rated G and so very funny. All our kids were hootin' and hollerin' with laughter before it was over.) I thought I had eighteen chapters but realized that some titles were almost redundant and now I have thirteen.

Does thirteen chapters sound like enough for a book to you?

I am praying for your success with this book! I am so excited for you!

And 13 sounds like plenty of chapters for a book.

How wonderful...the work has begun. He has begun a good work in your heart...I think that is Psalm or Proverbs.

Thirteen is a fine number of chapters. Not too long, not too short.

Hi Joanne,

Thank you for stopping by my blog a few days ago and commenting on Psalms 37. I'm so glad that it was a good reminder for you. I love those verses. I hold onto that scripture knowing that justice will be brought to my health and I am already seeing results of that. Praise Jesus!

Congrats on your book! That is exciting. 13 chapters sound like a good amount to me. I think it would be fun to write a book. From what your book is titled I'm guessing it is a children's book. Is that correct? It was nice to "meet" you through blog land. I'll be back to visit.

In His Grip,
Nicole

Yeah! I'm glad to see you are rolling on your proposal.

However many chapters it takes to get the message out is the exact right amount!

Oh how exciting!! I think 13 chapters sounds great...kind of like the length of one's legs. They reach the ground & that's all you need!

Joanne,
How exciting to be moving forward! I think your title is absolutely perfect! I sent you an email with a picture of Jane running.
Also, I think 13 chapters is great. Just think who your readers are: busy women! They'd probably prefer a book with 13 chapters rather than 18.
I'll be running alongside you and Jane, praying for you each step of the way!
Love you,
Susan

Wow Joanne, everybody is encouraged that you are moving forward no matter what! Way to stick your neck out! If you put words with the 13 chapter titles, it will be great. : ) The Lord is smiling at your brave heart. He has said yes to you so all that's left to do is See Joanne Run. I just thought about Forrest Gump in the movie running and all the people that followed him. I pray that some other writers will join you in the adventure and step out in faith too. May God put His touch on your words to encourage others.
