That is really NEAT!
We watch the Macy's parade and eat cinnamon buns. Then we go to My in-laws for dinner with the Cox clan. 12 sons and daughters, 10 grandchildren, and 6 sibs all crammed into a little house. We LOVE it. At meal time we go around the room and say what we are grateful for. Then we chow down. I am known for desserts, my mother in-law makes AMAZING stuffing. Dad is this best bird man...After dinner the men go play football and the women all nap! HA. and the dishes are done by the 7 or so dogs that come too! It is really special for us. (If we were to do the table cloth we'd need a new one everyyear for us all!)

This is a great idea! This year will be the first year we start our "rotation" of holidays. Brad and I have been together for 12 years-married for 5 of those years- and each year, before our son came along, we just hopped around from house to house. Now that we have Owen, we have found it to much more challenging...shocker! So, this year we are starting our tradition of rotating to save ourselves the headache and make it a more relaxing holiday with a little one. My mom will be hosting our Thanksgiving this year (at my brother's house) so this may to be a great way to start things out! I'm excited! Thanks for the idea! So simple and yet priceless!

My husband makes the world's best turkey! So, I love to host Thanksgiving for family.

This year we are going to my sister's house and I am in charge of pies. For some unknown reason, I have the gift of pies. I make perfect crusts and I can account for this no other way than it is a gift. Couldn't I have been given the gift of tasty veggies? I would be thinner, I'm sure!

I love your tablecloth tradition. We always express our Thankfulness by sharing how God has blessed us in the previous year.

Our other traditions include eating too much, going for a walk holding hands and then having dessert.

We too have a tablecloth. Started it last year after I read your post. In one year it graced our table, my mother in laws table, and Paul's aunt's table... It has all sorts of handprints and quotes on it already.

Can't wait to read what everyone else has to say...

We are big on traditions at our house. But sad to say, we really don't have one for Thanksgiving. We're never home on Thanksgiving, I guess that's why. I absolutely LOVE this idea and will use it as a Thanksgiving Eve tradition starting this year!! Thank you SO much!!!!

What an awesome idea. I think I will get one and start it this year. Thank you so much for the idea. And thank you for visiting my blog. It's funny. We are planning a trip west and you want to plan a trip east. Maybe we can pass and high 5 somewhere in the middle.
