I have a question for you...

So, what are you blogging for?

Do you blog to make friends? Do you blog to take a break and have some adult conversation while your little ones nap? Or maybe, you blog to share how green or not so green it is on the other side of your fence?

Why do you blog?

As a woman who is in love with Jesus, my prayer is for my blog to encourage, inspire and hopefully touch another person's heart for Him. Over the past couple of years I have been blessed by so many of you, watching as you use your Internet real estate to further His gospel.

Some of you share the gospel by teachings of His word. Some of you are His hands and feet while using your blog as a prayer ministry. And still others of you encourage one another and further the gospel with your honesty and transparency. You show the world with your funny words and humorous wit, an internal joy that communicates just how much you love Him.

I am sharing all this today because there is a conference coming up soon that will encourage future bloggers and seasoned bloggers alike to be equipped and encouraged to blog for Him. For His kingdom and for His glory.

Free To Be Me will be held on Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24th. It will be held in Sneads, Florida (Northern Florida) near beautiful Lake Seminole. The cost is $100.00, but if you girls are quick it's only $75.00 for the first twenty-five who sign up!

And, have I mentioned who the guest speakers are yet? You are going to be as excited as I was. I can't wait to meet some of my favorite bloggers in person. I don't know who I will get to hug first. Maybe it will be Marsha Harwood from Marsha's Musings, or Tiffany Stuart from Tea with Tiffany and Laced with Grace. Or it could be Lynn Donovan from Spiritually Unequal Marriage and Laced with Grace, or possibly Lisa Shaw from Sharing Life with Lisa.

My precious friend Angie Knight from The Knightly News and Laced with Grace has been praying this gathering of blog women into existence for quite some time. So please, grab the "Free to be Me" button above and make sure to post about this conference on your site. It would mean so much to her, and to me too.

And one last thing...I'm very excited to share with you, that yours truly will be teaching a couple of classes too. I will be getting on a plane and flying cross country and praying that I finally get to meet many of you in person!

Friends, I will be praying for you. In this time of economic unrest, if the Lord wills you to be there, you will be there. He will find a way.

And just in case you are in California before I leave in October, you can stop by my place and I'll stuff you in my carry-on luggage.

It's Official!

Well friends, it's official. I may never clean my bathroom again.

Wasn't it enough that I have my own blog, three email accounts and a cellphone? Not to mention a husband, four children, part-time job, dog, cat and a LIFE - more than enough to distract me from my daily household chores.

Listen friends, like most of you, I am a people person, plain and simple. It's who I am, who God created me to be. People like me should never be tempted and given the ability to talk to a new friend in New York, New Jersey or Michigan at all hours of the day or night!?! It's like giving a candy bar to a two year old!

After two weeks of listening to the accolades of Facebook by my so-called friends at my writer's group (the same group of people who told me I just had to start my own blog, then wonder why I don't have time to write my book), I finally took a moment and spent more than three seconds there.

And you know what?

I LOVE FACEBOOK!

So, it's officially official. I may never clean my bathroom again. For those of you who visit my home, this is your warning, use it at your own risk.

AND... if you want to stay on my nice friends' list, don't breathe a word to me about Twitter, Gaia, Friendster or Myspace...not.. a.. word!

MUST SEE MONDAY!

You ladies out there bless me! There are so many of you using your tiny space on the world wide web to inspire, encourage and bring us to a better understanding of Jesus and who He is in our lives.

This week I am starting MUST SEE MONDAY. An opportunity for me to put up a blog that has encouraged and inspired me. For starters you can go to my sidebar to "Blessed...Blogs" and peruse from there.

My first Must See, is Eternity Cafe, hosted by Susan. Susan is head of her women's ministry, her husband is the worship leader at their church. I met Susan while at the She Speaks conference this summer. She has a love for Jesus that shines in everything that she does. She is a speaker and a writer for Jesus, mom of two and friend to many!

This is her first week blogging, and since I personally know the woman behind the blog, I encourage you to stop by and encourage her!

My Husband is 'THE MAN'!

Yippee Skipee...my blog is fixed. Thanks to all my blog-galpals who filled me in on the problem. Your patience was appreciated. You can now 'comment away'!

My husband worked on it for quite a while. He sat here and worked on it before taking a shower, before watching football this afternoon and before saying "Joanne, do you think this may be an act of God?" He waited until he was finished to say that.

He is the most wonderful, loving, thoughtful, kind, caring man I know...(you are reading this aren't you Paul?!?)

I have to admit that this blog at times has caused a few ruffled feathers. I can be a poor time manger...yet, he still fixed it.

I love you cutie!

DAGNABBIT!!!!

For the past week my blog has been frozen. I can submit new posts but no one (not even I) can open up comments, or click on anything and open it.

I left two messages with Blogger and they say it is pretty much my problem. Thanks Blogger! I have even emailed 'Rocks in my Dryer' because I know that they run the 'Blogging Basics 101' site. They told me to find a techno-geek friend for help.

If this has ever happened to you, I would love to hear how you remedied it. You can email me at Proverbs31wife@comcast.net

Otherwise this morning, I will attempt to have my techno-geek husband take a peek. I may have to use my feminine wiles, it is football season ya know!

Where's My Underwear?!?

Change is in the air. As much as I enjoyed Christmas, it is time for me to get busy and take down our decorations in the next couple of days. This winter cleaning has found its way to my blog as well. As you can tell I have changed the template.

My husband found me once again working on my blog and was a bit frustrated. In his irritation, he said he was going to start his own blog called, "Wheresmyunderwear.blogspot.com". I will let you know if or when he gets it up and running.

For now, I must make this short and keep my husband happy...

Blessings, Joanne
